Colorado Picture Post, Numero Tres

I'll have to switch over to English at some point, because I can only count to 20 in Spanish. (Well, 29 if you want to be picky about it, but anyway) I apologize for the fuzzy pictures in the last post--I find that if I upload pictures and then save the post without enlarging them immediately, they get all pixelated. So I'm going to try to do better with this post.

This week has been staff training week, which basically means we work in the morning, do some games/'team-building' exercises in the afternoon, and continue to work until 6 or the dinnerbell rings at 6:30, whichever comes first. Two days ago, for example, we all met up in the afternoon, broke up into our smaller groups (I'm in 'Team 3'), and did this obstacle/challenge course thing. Some parts were easy, some were hard...and yesterday was 'Olympic training' (basically doing these little games like an egg toss, Ping Pong ball on a plate, holding a ball between one's knees and weaving poles, etc). Between Darron and I we've gotten SO MANY PICTURES. Good grief. He's taken to borrowing my camera at every opportunity and filling it with pictures. I'm not complaining, but good grief.

Okay. So here we go with pictures! I'll start with Sunday and take it from there, shall I?

Colorado Picture Post Numero Dos

5/26/13

So many picture, you people. And I haven't even gotten into this week's pictures, or acknowledged the fact that Darron borrowed my camera today and took over 100 pictures with it. (They're good...but dang, I was scrolling through pictures FOREVER.) So anyway. So much stuff happens, and it's all so awesome and I just need more time to journal it down and such. Argh.

Just a recap: we have gotten new people in the next two days, and I've taken a few pictures of some of them. My room is now filled with the last two beds being taken up, and tomorrow marks the start of staff training week. Yesterday and today were more or less 'off', and I got to go in the hot tub with 6 or so other people today. It was awesome, and if *some* people hadn't been bound and determined to stay dry and only dangle their feet in the water I would have had the area soaked with splashing. *cough*Codyisaloser*cough* But it was still awesome. The water was amazingly hot, and I finally got to experience hot water. Sponge baths with freezing water are getting a little old.

I would also like to add that Emily, the girl I mentioned in the last post, has been healed. As in, for supper she was in so much pain that she was feeling nauseated and terrible--then a bunch of people were praying for her, and she is off her crutches and walking with no pain whatsoever. My mind has been BLOWN. She's still going to her chiropractor tomorrow, but still. THIS IS SO FREAKING AWESOME.

Anyway. I'm really psyched so I'm just going to show pictures with little/no commentary because all I can think about it how awesome tonight has been.

(Nick, giving his testimony with an equine example)

(Talking about trust and hard times)

(Brave ladder carriers! I got to spend a morning last week changing lightbulbs on the roofs)

(Brittany, cleaning vans)

(Cody is hard to get a picture of, but by being surreptitious I can do it)

(Darron and Cody, being cool--or rather, hiding from the camera)

(Heading out to feed the horses)

(Penelope the llama!)

(Teh llama face)

(Ye olde foggy morn)

(The underside of a grill that Emily P and I cleaned. It was NASTY, man)

(We got filthy, and it was awesome)

(Across the breakfast table--this group of people changes with every meal)

(Potting party!)

(This place is so beautiful. I can't get over it.)

(The casualties of staining)

(And Darron on the piano. He's been playing Amazing Grace for the most part, and I made the mistake of singing one night and now he's been getting me to sing it a LOT. Even though it's high. XD)
