That is, 2 days until I leave for Colorado.
My face has been doing this for the whole week: 8D ^-^ O.o e.e
I've gotten a few picture of packing, but I was so stressed last week about packing and its shadow ilk that by the time I actually started packing I wasn't thinking about taking pictures. I don't even have an exact list of all the things I'm taking...probably should, but it's a little late now.
After much deliberation (and inquiring after the denizens of Facebook) I decided to devote a new journal to Colorado, instead of doing a continuation of my old one. Part of me (a rather large part, actually) loves to keep everything organized, in one place, etc, and the other part just likes to have one thing completed before starting another. The organized bit won out. XD
(Plus this journal is so pretty, and has flowery endpapers, and it just makes me happy. :3)
Some random items...most of these will go into my other bag and the backpack. This suitcase is crammed with all the clothes I should need--debated about taking my black wool trenchcoat, but it'll be nice to have a good, warm coat for when it gets cold. According to the weather forecast for Estes Park, it's rather chilly there even now (thunderstorms and 60-degree temps over the weekend--hopefully it's like 60 degrees around here and not like the, say, freakishly cold Floridian version of 60 degrees).
And wouldn't ya know it, the week before I leave is when I finally get a mirror for my room. Beautiful timing, no? Also, yeah, those are men's shorts. What can I say? They're extraordinarily comfy and loose where women's shorts are not. Plus they have all those nifty pockets. Never underestimate the placement of a nifty pocket.
In other news, it got HOT all of a sudden here. And I probably wouldn't have minded much if I hadn't had to work outside yesterday--after going to the gym (gasp! le gasp!) I mowed and meandered for part of the afternoon, and my shoulders/arms are toasted (no burn today, apparently) and my shorts were soaked with sweat from sitting on the blazing hot mower seat. Which was slightly embarrassing, but whatevs, ya roll with it as it comes. My only regret is not mowing in my bandeau to get a more even tan.
I'm anticipating my phone not working while out West (mountain interference and all that) and having majorly limited Internet time, so I foresee dropping off the face of the earth (more or less) during the summer. I'll probably just backup pictures to online albums and post them as time permits...but if I don't post on here, fret not. I won't be dead, just isolated. :P (And I'll have my nifty journal to fill in instead.)
