Week 10 Recap

Week 10 recap...let's do this thing!

Up top we have Jason driving us up to the Upper Meadow, because we were feeling lazy that day. XD

Lindsey is back! We've been having an absolute blast with her--I'mma miss her when she leaves.

There was a sunspot over one of the mountains that looked fascinating--I haven't seen one since.

Amber is so gorgeous. Sigh.

We got our new photographer/videographer too! His name is Josiah, and he is freakin' awesome. He's only 19 and has his own business, makes amazing videos, and knows a ton about photography. I've really enjoyed getting to chat with him about it (and our last photographer, while talented, was a bit tight-lipped and hard to approach when it came to her job. :/ ).

Braiding Amber's hair...

O.o

The labels return!

I really like this one of Luke and Newt. *nods*

Shiloh has these really awesome two-toned eyes, and he finally stood still long enough for me to get a good picture. :D

ELK!

It's hunting season in a few days, so I'm hoping that I'll get to taste some elk soon. I haven't had any since I was 12 or 13, so I can't wait. :3

Jake got to ride one of the horses that morning, and you can't even tell from this picture that he was having a hard time getting the bridle on. ^^;

Oh yes, this was during my walk to the upper meadow--I cut through the woods and found a random skeleton. On asking later someone told me that a mountain lion had killed a young elk on-property, and they dragged the carcass off into the woods. This is all that's left.... O.o

Britany! She took Claire's place, and she is awesome.

Jake's brother's friend, Waffles, making waffles. (See what I did there? :P)

Five of us girls went up to haul slash one afternoon, and basically spent the entire time lifting logs and boasting about how beastly we were. XD It was pretty stinking awesome, and resulted with our deciding that we needed to created a girl's work crew. Maybe.

MUSHROOM! Doesn't it look like a little alien peering out from under the dirt?

Beasts.

Also a beast.

We found a natural teeter-totter. :P

Zen teeter-totter?

Yes, we hauled all of that ourselves. >:D

The inevitable selfie... *sigh* I've tried to avoid them thus far, but sometimes they slip in via the others.

Country album cover, anyone?

Killeen (or Keens, as we call her :P) is back too! And she's my roommate again! We tried going running a few times, and I was doing pretty well air-wise until my knees have given out. If I walk, it's okay, but running up and down these mountains KILLS my knees. Sigh.

The sad part is that Emily P left me....and I may have cried quite a bit upon that departure. *sigh* I don't like it when people leave me!

Waffles, looking dramatic. :P

Oh yes! David and Emily were the tweens leaders, and they asked for some pictures. This is with David standing on a log....

...and this is him standing normally. XD

Keens is the new tweens leader, so of course we had to get a picture of them all together. :P

The end of this week was a good one, but also quite sad with Emily leaving. She was an awesome influence over the summer, and we both kind of poured into each other as far as building a friendship, bouncing ideas off of each other, telling each other our dreams, having conversations in our sleep (that is, apparently we talked back and forth to each other in our sleep XD)....it was great.

*sniff* Now I'm remembering how much I miss her. :C
