::Engagement Shoot: Gabriel and Abigail::

Or Gabi and Abi, as they are affectionately known.

Gabi is my brother-in-law (that is, he's my sister-in-law's brother, so I guess we're kinda related? We say we are, and that's what counts XD), and he's officially getting married on the 22th...

(On a side note: WOW. Where did that time go? O.o)

...to the lovely Abi Morse. They asked me to take their engagement pictures while I was down in Florida last November, and of COURSE I pounced on the opportunity. Thus, the following is their official engagement photo shoot. I've been waiting for MONTHS to get this up.... :3 *rubs hands together*

Oh yes, everything's after the jump!

We went to the oh-so-picturesque Sawgrass Preserve less than a mile from the Acevedo's house, and the atmosphere was so relaxed that we all chatted and wandered while I occasionally took a picture. It was one of the most relaxing photo shoots I've ever had the pleasure of doing.

I had seen some interesting pictures for incorporating the ring into the shoot (thank you, Pinterest!), and had a blast tying it to random items. This will become more apparent as the pictures march on...

*happy sigh*

This was the 'teaser' photo that I sent Abi before all the pictures were edited, and holy cow. The outpouring of 'THIS IS PERFECT' and reports of crying mothers were something to behold. O.o

They are just too cute. ^-^

See what I mean?

More artsy ring shots!

This is where things got really fun...there were all these swamp oaks all over the preserve, and I had been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to incorporate them into the proceedings. I never did figure out a way to use the trees, but said trees did come in handy when I needed some overhead shots.

Basically, I got to climb trees and swing around like a crazy person with only a little concern for my equipment (a poor choice, in retrospect, but nothing actually broke so I guess it was all okay). It was AWESOME.

And then the boys, inspired by my shenanigans (or rather, I was inspired by their shenanigans which led to more shenanigans), decided to revive the planking thing that was so huge a few years ago, and....planked on the trees. It was beautiful.

Or at least a little strange.

More ring! The bow tie was Abi's idea. :P

For some reason I was enthralled with the ring on grass (though I stuck it on its fair share of bark, berries, twigs, and rocks too).

And this was Gabi's idea!

All in all...I am extremely happy for my friends as they move on to their next phase in life, and I've very happy that they asked me to help document at least part of it. ^-^
